CORE Electrical Design work alongside design consultancies as the chosen outsourced design team. We know the RIBA plan of work, we also work within less structured parameters and are ready to assist. This may be on a project basis or dayrate depending on your needs. Save the probationary period headache and come to use with our ready-made design team.
Our approach is always collaborative- all schemes must be designed to demonstrate compliancy, industry best practice, BS standards, and a wider understanding of other trades including mechanical and interior design coordination. We get it.
Electrical Contractors
For the electrical contractors who wish to subcontract design to a specialist, we are here to help. Once you procure a project we can meet for an initial handover (virtual or face to face…but we love a cup of tea and we provide great biscuits). We seek to understand not only the design requirements, but the commercial insights/budget for the scheme. We’ve seen thousands of electrical designs over the years which look super whizzy but cost the earth- we can help.
It’s important we work within your required design programme, so let us know your deadlines and we will meet or exceed them- we won’t over promise and under deliver.
We can then provide a full drawing pack and, if variations happen along the way, we can make those amendments for you too. We produce a design schedule, electrical layouts, 1:20, 1:50, reflected ceiling plans, schematics, lux levels, circuit calculations (if required), external lighting, EVC, PV, BESS designs. Masters of Disguise
Want to keep your outsourcing under wraps?
No problem, we are more than happy to use your branding on our legend templates, attend design team meetings under your company name and do feasibility studies with your branded hard hat on. Those things aren’t the important bits- the attention to detail, ensuring we get the full measure of the job and delivering within a commercial budget are the critical things to focus on.
Client Direct
Working directly with Clients enables us to interpret requirements and produce a complete electrical design in preparation for a tender or main contractor pack. There is great satisfaction knowing that the enquiry that goes out into the world is designed to ensure costs come back based on the same design… we know the apples vs pears scenario is a real pain. Let us streamline the process.
If the design isn’t enough, don’t worry. We also have the capabilities to produce a specification and electrical room data sheets based on the specific completed design- not a copy and paste from the last job.
From trampoline parks to woodland cabins, specialist ABI units to care villages with bowling greens and hydrotherapy pools, we have seen it all so please come to us with your electrical design requirements no matter how quirky. (In fact, the quirkier the better).
